1. Who we are
Filip Cargo Ltd is a courier company registered in England & Wales, company number 09244547, registered office 25 Glover Street, Leigh, Lancashire, WN7 5LR. We decide how your details are used, which makes us the "controller" under UK data protection law (UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018).
Questions about this notice or your details: email cargoltd1@yahoo.com.
2. What we collect
When you send a booking request
- Collection and delivery addresses and postcodes, including every drop on a multi-drop run
- Date and time window, what the goods are, their weight or number of pallets, and any notes you add
- Your name, company, phone number and email, and how you'd like us to confirm
When you call, WhatsApp or email us
Whatever you tell us or send us, such as postcodes, photos of the load, your name and number.
When you use the website
- Technical data our hosting provider handles to keep the site running and secure, such as your IP address and browser type
- A spam check on the booking form, which runs in the background
- Visit statistics, only if you accept analytics cookies
- Whether you came from one of our Google ads and then called, sent a WhatsApp or a booking request, only if you accept advertising cookies
We don't ask for and don't want sensitive information such as health details. Please don't put it in the notes.
3. Why we use it, and on what basis
We don't sell your details, and we don't send marketing unless you've asked for it.
4. Who we share it with
Only with companies that help us run the service, and only what they need for that job:
- Cloudflare hosts this website and runs the spam check on the form.
- Resend delivers the booking request to our inbox and sends you a confirmation email.
- CallMeBot forwards a summary of your booking request to our WhatsApp, so we see it straight away.
- Yahoo hosts our email inbox, where booking requests and your emails to us arrive.
- WhatsApp (Meta) carries the messages when you or we use WhatsApp.
- Google provides visit statistics (Google Analytics) and measures which of our ads lead to an enquiry (Google Ads), only if you accept those cookies.
- Our accountant, for invoices and records
If the law requires it, for example a request from the police, we may have to share details with the authorities.
5. Outside the UK
Some of these providers handle data outside the UK, including in the United States. Where that happens, we rely on the safeguards each provider offers for transfers from the UK.
6. How long we keep it
- Booking requests that don't become a job: only as long as we need them to answer you, then deleted
- Jobs, invoices and the records behind them: as long as tax and accounting rules require, usually six years
- WhatsApp and email conversations: as long as we need them for the job, or for records we must keep
7. Your rights
You can ask us to:
- give you a copy of the details we hold about you
- correct anything that's wrong
- delete your details, unless we have to keep them, for example for invoices
- limit how we use them, or object to how we use them
- send them to you or another company in a common format
Email cargoltd1@yahoo.com. We'll reply within one month. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your details, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint. We'd appreciate the chance to sort it out first.
8. Cookies
fc-consent. The spam check on the booking form runs in a frame from Cloudflare (challenges.cloudflare.com), under Cloudflare's own cookie policy. Always on._ga and _ga_<ID>, kept up to 2 years. Off until you choose Accept, and you can change your mind in Cookie settings._gcl_au, and _gcl_aw if you arrived from an ad (plus similar _gcl_ and _gac_ cookies), kept about 90 days. Off until you choose Accept. If you change your mind, choosing Reject deletes these Google cookies.9. Changes to this notice
If we change how we use your details, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
